Lincoln Harris Announces Second Phase of Legacy Union
CHARLOTTE, N.C., (Dec. 11, 2018) – Lincoln Harris, one of the Southeast’s preeminent commercial real estate development, investment and property management companies, today announced that Deloitte will anchor 18-story 650 South Tryon, the second phase of its transformational Uptown mixed-use development, Legacy Union.
Deloitte will occupy the top four floors of the building, comprising approximately 90,000 of the total 362,000 leasable square feet, including office and retail space fronting Tryon Street. With its sleek glass-and-steel design, 650 South Tryon will complement the 33-story Bank of America Tower, which is nearing completion on the 10-acre Legacy Union site located on Uptown’s southern perimeter with easy access to Interstate 277. Lincoln Harris is committed to establishing Legacy Union under the industry’s highest standards for quality, design and functionality.
“Lincoln Harris is proud to welcome Deloitte as anchor tenant for 650 South Tryon,” said Johno Harris, president of Lincoln Harris. “With the launch of the second phase of Legacy Union, we have made significant progress toward our vision for Legacy Union as a major destination that will redefine Uptown and serve as a gateway to Charlotte’s center city.”
Legacy Union, bordered by South Tryon, Stonewall, Mint and Hill streets, will offer a mix of Class-A office space, retail, residential and hospitality space as well as a large pedestrian plaza and green space. Active discussions with potential hotel, multifamily and retail partners are ongoing.
“This move reflects an exciting new chapter in our rich Charlotte history,” said Theresa Drew, managing partner for Deloitte’s Carolinas practice. “It will give our people best-in-class space and location, an environment that helps bring out our very best performance. It also communicates our commitment to Charlotte and being part of an urban hub that is exciting, sustainable and livable.”
Approximately 270,000 square feet of office space is still available at 650 South Tryon, which will be managed and leased by Lincoln Harris.
Ridr Knowlton and Campbell Walker of Lincoln Harris represented the developer in the transaction.
